Expert Tips
Glassware Tip
Use a large ice cube or sphere instead of regular ice. It melts slower, providing proper dilution without watering down your drink too quickly.
Fresh Citrus Tip
Always squeeze fresh citrus juice rather than using bottled. Roll the fruit on the counter before cutting to release more juice, and strain out seeds and pulp for a smoother drink.
Fresh Herb Tip
Gently slap fresh herbs between your palms before adding to your drink. This releases essential oils and aromatics without bruising the leaves or creating bitter flavors.
Gin's distinctive flavor comes from juniper berries, though modern gins feature a wide variety of botanicals from around the world.
